Banner Pleased With Vick's Reinstatement

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell announced on Thursday afternoon that QB Michael Vick will be eligible to play in Week 3 of the regular season when the Eagles take on the Kansas City Chiefs. Eagles president Joe Banner was very pleased that Vick can play early in the season. Banner also said that the team has not decided whether he will be on the 53-man roster in the first two weeks of the regular season. The Eagles can place him on an exempt list, but Vick would not be able to practice if he is placed on that list.

"Commissioner Goodell and Michael had a very productive meeting this morning and we're pleased to have Michael reinstated early in the season," Banner said. "Michael has done everything we have asked thus far during his time in Philadelphia and we look forward to getting him on the field in week 3 vs. Kansas City. At this point, we have not made a decision as to whether or not he will be on the 53-man roster for the first two weeks of the season during his suspension."
