Biography

Community Involvement:

Through my career in public service, particularly in government oversight and public health response, I fight for the efficiency, effectiveness, equity, and transparency of the use of taxpayer funds to not only improve operations and activities but also to build public trust within and across communities nationwide. Locally, in DC, I have been an active member of four congressional staff associations committed to advancing professional opportunities for women, minorities, and digital communicators, through which I have taken part in inaugural mentorship programs and led free training for current and aspiring staffers. At UC Berkeley, I was on Cal Spirit for three years, a new student orientation leader for one year, and coached my hometown athletic team, the Mammoth Mountain Ski & Snowboard Team (MMSST), during holidays. I also volunteered for the Mammoth Mountain Community Foundation (MMCF) and Disabled Sports of the Eastern Sierra (DSES), and in 2016, received the Michigan Sports Business Conference (MSBC) BIG Initiative award for my efforts in engaging women, girls, and persons with disabilities in community sport.
