Community Involvement: From disaster response to animal care, I am always looking to utilize my skills for the benefit of the community wherever I may be in the world.

As the former President, Trustee, and current Advisor for the Howell Police Athletic League Youth Leadership Council, I assisted in the Covid-19 vaccine rollout for the elderly, supervised youth for leadership conferences and ski trips, conducted community and post-disaster assessments, and volunteered on eight relief trips for the Hurricane Katrina recovery as a FEMA Community Emergency Response Team member. I also founded and directed the Howell Police Athletic League non-profit dance studio to include classes for those with special needs.

While studying in Costa Rica, I volunteered weekly at a marine park where I provided care for animals such as sea turtles, sharks, and pelicans. Additionally, I completed over 600 hours of community service as an AmeriCorps Fellow, including preparing meals for animals at a local bird sanctuary (anything from snakes to a snowy owl)!
