Eagles Honor A 'Go Green' Dream
The Philadelphia Eagles, a sponsor of the Delaware Valley Habitat for Humanity "Build A House, Build A Dream program," presented 11-year-old Sabrina Fineberg, of Blue Bell, PA, with the inaugural GO GREEN AWARD at the seventh annual "Build A House, Build A Dream" contest for kids at Drexel University on Saturday, April 5.
Nearly 600 fifth grade students participated by building their own three dimensional ""dream home"" creative models, ranging from homes designed to withstand tsunamis, houses based on spaceships, energy efficient houses and environmentally friendly "green" homes.
Fineberg, who placed second overall, was the winner of the Eagles GO GREEN AWARD. Her house honored both the Eagles and Habitat for Humanity's commitment to "green values" and the environment.
Proceeds from the event and presenting sponsors are used to support Habitat homebuilding programs in the Philadelphia region.
