Biography

Originally a fifth-round selection of Baltimore in 2009, Jason Phillips has spent time with both the Ravens and Carolina Panthers in his four-year career as a reserve linebacker and special teams contributor, appearing in 29 total games. The 27-year-old played in all 16 games (two starts) for the Panthers in 2012 and led the team with 16 special teams tackles.

A standout at Texas Christian University, Phillips became the only player in conference history to garner All-Mountain West honors in four straight seasons, amassing 315 tackles, 7.5 sacks, and two interceptions in 50 career games. A native of Waller, Tx., Phillips graduated with a degree in criminal justice.
