Biography

A former second-round draft pick of the Houston Texans in 2009, the athletic and versatile Connor Barwin established himself as a leader and playmaker on the Eagles defense after signing a six-year contract during the 2013 offseason. Originally drafted as a defensive end, Barwin made the transition to outside linebacker following the 2010 season and responded to the move with 11.5 sacks in 2011, the fourth-highest total in Texans franchise history. Once a tight end at the University of Cincinnati, Barwin moved to defensive end as a senior in 2008 and went on to finish third on the program’s single-season sack list with 12, en route to first-team All-American and All-Big East Conference honors
