Biography

Growing up in a town of Tarry, Ark (population 8,115), Cedric Thornton took a long, circuitous route to the NFL. A rookie free agent signing of the Eagles in 2011, he provides a blend of size, strength and athleticism and was a valuable contributor to the team’s D-line rotation in 2012. One of only five people in history to attend Division II Southern Arkansas and play in the NFL, Thornton was a two-year starter with the Muleriders and earned first-team All-America honors as a junior in 2009.
