Brandon Hughes has been a key contributor on special teams since joining the team on 11/23/10. Originally a fifth-round selection of the Chargers in 2009, Hughes spent his rookie campaign on the Injured Reserve list with a knee injury before landing on the New York Giants practice squad for the first ten games of the 2010 season. He finished his career at Oregon State ranked second all-time with 43 career starts, while finishing with 168 tackles (12.5 TFLs), three interceptions, 36 pass breakups, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery
