Biography

Matt Kopa was signed by the Eagles on December 3 off of the New England Patriots practice squad. Kopa was originally signed by the San Francisco 49ers as a rookie free agent out of Stanford in 2010. He spent time on the 49ers practice squad and the Miami Dolphins' active roster as a rookie. He was inactive for the final eight games of his rookie season in Miami. He spent the 2011 preseason with Miami and joined the New England practice squad. He was re-signed by the Patriots following the season and spent this year's preseason with them before being released during the final roster cutdown. He was promptly re-signed to New England's practice squad.
