Biography

Originally a fifth-round selection of Philadelphia in the 2011 NFL draft, Julian Vandervelde (pronounced VAN-der-vell-dee) re-signed with the Eagles in the 2013 offseason after splitting time between the Philadelphia practice squad and active roster in 2012. After spending his rookie campaign as a reserve offensive lineman, Vandervelde spent the entire training camp and preseason with the team before being released during the team’s final roster cutdown.  A four-year letterman at Iowa, Vandervelde earned second-team All-Big Ten honors as a senior in 2010.
