Biography

The Eagles signed safety Eddie Whitley to the practice squad on December 5. An undrafted rookie free agent out of Virginia Tech, Whitley was originally signed by the Cowboys and spent time on the 49ers practice squad. He was released on November 27 to make room for former Eagle Chad Hall. The 6-1, 191 pound Fayetteville, NC native notched 83 tackles, two interceptions and a forced fumble his senior year. He also earned Second Team All-ACC honors that season.
