• The Donovan McNabb Foundation was established in 2000 in honor of McNabb's close family members who have been diagnosed with diabetes. The foundation raises awareness of diabetes through Donovan's position as the national spokesman for the American Diabetes Association. Donovan started his foundation so that he could help provide awareness and improve the lives of those who suffer from diabetes, as well as the families of those who have diabetes. • For the fifth straight year, hosted a Spring charity weekend in Philadelphia. In 2007, the weekend began with his first-ever golf tournament at Rivercrest Country Club on Friday, June 15. The night before, participants had the opportunity to draft their celebrity partners. On Saturday, Donovan welcomed 350 10-14 year olds to a "Kids Camp Football Clinic" run by his father, Samuel, and several NFL players. The event invites family, friends and local philanthropists to come together in support of the American Diabetes Association. In years past, McNabb's Friday event was a night of "Philly Flavor," where guests sampled local cuisine and entertainment. He had hosted a similar event in Chicago from 2001-02
• Works out at MakePlays.com in Phoenix, Arizona, during the offseason. Besides honing his football skills, McNabb can be found fine-tuning his body with traditional and unorthodox methods. Some of those methods include agility drills with dog toys, as well as vision training, which helps his eyes process information at a faster rate

As a senior, led SU to an Orange Bowl berth vs. Florida as he completed 157 of 251 passes (62.5%) for 2,134 yards. His 22 TD passes tied the school's single season record set by former Eagle Don McPherson (1987). Also was 135-438-8TDs rushing. Ranked 6th in the nation with a 158.9 passing efficiency rating and 22nd in total offense (233.8 yards/game). Tied a school-record with 4 TD tosses vs. Cincinnati and accounted for 5 TDs vs. Miami (3 rushing and 2 passing). Amassed 2,892 yards in total offense in his junior season to set a school record. As a freshman, was the Big East rookie of the year and tossed a 96-yd. TD pass vs. West Virginia, the longest in Su history. He redshirted in 1994.
INJURY HISTORY:
Was inactive vs. Sea (12/2) and at NE (11/25) with a right ankle sprain and swollen thumb that he suffered in the 2nd qtr. vs. Mia. (11/18), which sidelined for the remainder of that game. Was placed on the Injured Reserve list on 11/21/06 after suffering a torn ACL vs. Ten. (11/19/06). Was placed on the Injured Reserve list on 11/22/05 because of a reaggravated sports hernia injury vs. Dal. (11/14/05). Was inactive at NYG (11/20/05) while waiting to see if he could recover from the injury. He was diagnosed with the sports hernia on 9/27/05 but was able to continue playing. Also suffered a rib contusion at Den. (10/30/05). Suffered a chest contusion at Atl. (9/12/05). Suffered a fractured ankle vs. Arz. (11/17/02) and missed the final 6 games of the regular season. Was inactive vs. NE (12/19/99) after suffering a knee injury the week before at Dal.
