Career Summary
A second round choice and the Eagles first overall selection in 2007, Kevin Kolb (pronounced COBB) spent his rookie season learning the offense behind veteran quarterbacks Donovan McNabb and A.J. Feeley. A four-year starter at Houston, Kolb turned in one of the finest seasons by a quarterback in school history as a senior in 2006, connecting on 292 of 432 passes for 3,809 yds., 30 TDs and just 4 INTs, en route to being named Conference USA offensive player of the year.

- Kevin and his wife, Whitney, reside in Granbury, TX, with their Yorkshire Terrier, Jersey. Whitney competed in golf at Tarleton State in Stephensville, TX
- Kevin and Whitney enjoy a number of different sports together such as golf (both sport 12 handicaps), hunting, tennis, bowling, fishing and even ping pong
- His father, Roy, owns a RV Park in Flatonia, TX, while his mother, Lanell, is a 6th grade teacher. Roy had also been a middle-school football and basketball coach, and owned a fire restoration and carpet cleaning business. Kevin was his father's QB in football and point guard in basketball. His sister, Amy, is also a teacher and coaches basketball and tennis in Alto, TX
- Chose the University of Houston after almost attending Oklahoma State. His high school coach, Art Briles, had taken the same job at Houston and Kevin made the switch because of their relationship
- Was a two-time District 8-4A offensive MVP at Stephenville HS. As a senior, threw for 3,357 yds. and 29 TDs, earning first-team All-Big County honors. Since 1989, Stephenville has produced 9 Division I QBs, and Kolb was the only one to start three years at the school
- Also lettered as a guard in basketball and in the sprint relays on the track team
- One of his most unique hunting experiences includes tracking down wild hogs with his friend's dogs and his Bowie knife. Wild hog hunting is an important part of preserving the farmland in his hometown. "One hog can ruin an entire field of crops in just one night. They dig up and eat the roots. They need to be controlled."

COLLEGE HIGHLIGHTS:
After being named the starting quarterback as a true freshman in 2003, was named the Conference USA freshman of the year and went on to start a school-record 50 games. A two-time All-Conference USA pick, became the first player in school history to throw for over 3,000 yds. in three separate seasons. Finished his career ranked 4th in Division I-A history in passing yds. (12,964). Also finished as the school's all-time leader in comps. (964) and atts. (1,565), and 2nd in TD passes (81). Also posted 21 career rushing TDs, the most ever by a QB.
