A strong and imposing presence at the defensive tackle position, Brodrick Bunkley has matured nicely into the team's starting RDT. The club's first round draft choice in 2006, Bunkley solidified himself on the interior of the Eagles' defensive line in 2007.

• His mother, Patrice Lewis, is a retail manager and his stepfather, Marvin Lewis, is a project supervisor for a shipbuilding company. Although an only child, his childhood was shared with "plenty of cousins who were like brothers and sisters. We were together often and shared everything."
• Registered 18.5 sacks as a senior at Chamberlain HS, leading his team to the state finals
• Credits his defensive line coach at Florida State, Odell Haggins, with his development on and off the field. "The one thing I admired about coach is that he stays on top of his players, and he stays on them hard," said Bunkley. "He's a big part of the reason for the success I had as a senior. I was thankful to have a coach like him. I was able to talk to him about my problems. He was almost like my father in Tallahassee … I still talk to him all the time."
• His first job was as a cashier at McDonald's. "It was too hot to flip burgers; they didn't want me back there." The trade off was that Bunkley was on the front lines. "The shirt they gave me was too small; nothing ever fit right. My friends would all come in and make fun of my shirt!"
• As a high school senior served as a defensive line instructor at the Mike Alstott Football Camp
• Enjoys fishing and video games. His favorites are Halo and Madden. Lists "Gladiator" as his favorite movie
• Majored in social science

COLLEGE HIGHLIGHTS:
Finished his Seminoles career with 129 tackles, 11.5 sacks, and 37 TFLs (5th in school history) in 44 games (22 starts). Took over the starting nose guard duties as a senior and went on to earn numerous first-team All-America honors as well as 2nd team All-ACC accolades. His 25 TFLs ranked 2nd in the nation and set a single-season school record. Also registered 66 tackles, 9 sacks, 15 hurries, 2 FRs and 1 FF. Registered 38 tackles, 1.5 sacks, 8 TFLs and 5 hurries as a sophomore and appeared in 8 games as a true freshman in 2002.
