Schable (pronounced SHAY-bull) appeared in 11 games as a fullback in his rookie campaign for Arizona in 2006 after signing with the Cardinals as a rookie free agent. Schable again attended training camp with Arizona in 2007, but was released during the preseason. The Ida Grove, IA, native recorded 28 sacks as a defensive end at South Dakota, including 19 as a senior in 2005.

COLLEGE HIGHLIGHTS:
Started 39 games for the South Dakota Coyotes where he recorded 28 career sacks and set a school record with 44.5 career tackles for loss. As a senior in 2005, he helped lead the team to their first North Central Conference title since 1978 while setting a single-season school record with 19 sacks. That year, Schable was named to the first-team defense on the AP's Little All-American team, which was South Dakota's first AP selection since 1988. In addition to football, he ran track and, as a junior, won the NCC Outdoor title in shot put.
