Therrian Fontenot is entering his 2nd season in Philadelphia after spending the second half of 2007 on the team's practice squad. Originally signed as an undrafted free agent by Buffalo in 2005, Fontenot has spent parts of two seasons on Green Bay's and Cleveland's roster, playing in each team's regular season finale in 2005 and 2006, respectively.

- Was signed to the Eagles practice squad on 11/13 where he spent the final 7 weeks of the season

PERSONAL:
- Was raised in Pineville, LA, by his mother, Sharon Fontenot, and his stepfather, Fred Jackson, until he was 11 years old. At that time, Jackson moved the family to the rough Los Angeles, CA, neighborhood of Watts when he took a job there. Sharon has since returned to Louisiana, while Fred passed away from cancer in 1996. Sharon had left her job to take care of Fred once he became ill
- Has three sisters - April, Chesley and Britney - and one brother, Jaques. Britney moved back to Louisiana with her mother while the other three remain in California
- Was a 4-year letter winner at Leuzinger HS, setting school records in TDs (33) and rushing yds. (2,057). Played in the California-Texas HS all-star game as a cornerback
- A three-year letterman in track, competed in the state track championship as a senior and holds the fastest 100-meter time in California
- After spending his first two seasons at Fresno State as a running back, switched to cornerback as a junior.
- Loves going to basketball games. Hopes to one day own Los Angeles Lakers courtside season tickets. Kobe Bryant is his favorite player. "Ever since I was little the Lakers were my team. I bled those colors. Everyone in my house did."
