A late-season addition by the Eagles off Carolina's practice squad, Tanard Davis had spent weeks 3 through 16 of 2007 with the Panthers after originally signing with Indianapolis as an undrafted rookie in 2006. That year, Davis spent a majority of the season on the Colts practice squad. He again attended training camp with the Colts in 2007, but was released prior to the regular season.

• As a track standout in Miami, won the Big East title in the 60-meter dash in 2004, beating out Chicago KR/PR Devin Hester. Also competed in the 100, 200, and 4x100-meter races
• Graduated with a degree in criminology and wants to be a police officer when his football career is over. ""Growing up in a bad neighborhood, I don't like drugs. I always thought, as a kid, if I was a police officer then I could change things."" Tanard even participated in a ride-along with the police during his sophomore year in college, in which he played a key role, discovering $5,000 worth of drugs

• His favorite moment of his career is winning the Super Bowl with the 2006 Indianapolis Colts, saying that, ""It was a great experience watching Peyton Manning, Reggie Wayne and Marvin Harrison and all those Hall-of-Famers. I can say I witnessed greatness.""
• Collected 20 tackles and 5 INTs as a senior at Southridge HS. Also lettered in baseball and track

Walked on to the hurricanes program as a sophomore wide receiver and went on to earn a scholarship prior to his junior year, switching to defensive back. Appeared in 10 games over his final two seasons with Miami. 2005 (Senior): Appeared in four games for the hurricanes. 2004 (Junior): Saw action in six games. Recorded six tackles, one forced fumble and one pass defensed. 2003 (Sophomore): Played in four games. Switched from wide receiver to cornerback during the season. Notched one interception against Rutgers.
