Known for his consistent play and highlight-reel hits, Sheldon Brown has provided valuable stability and leadership to the secondary since earning a starting role in 2004. As a full-time starter, he has recorded 3 touchdowns and 10 interceptions, while providing many bone-jarring tackles. "He's a tough guy," said defensive coordinator Jim Johnson. "He plays in pain, doesn't want to come out of the game. There are some guys that get a few nicks and can't handle it, but he's one of those guys that is just mentally tough." A second round draft choice in 2002, Brown has seen action in all 105 regular and postseason contests, and signed a lucrative, six-year contract extension in 2004 that will keep him in Philadelphia through 2012.
CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:
- Tied for 2nd on the Eagles all-time list with 3 returns for TDs (2 INT returns & 1 fumble return)
- 10 of his 13 INTS have led to Eagles scores, including 2 TD returns
- Has not missed a game in his 7-year NFL career, playing in 105 straight regular and postseason contests. In fact, he has never missed a football game since starting to play in the 6th grade

- Picked off a Chad Pennington pass at NYJ (10/14), which led to an Eagles FG. Also batted down a pass in the end zone on 4th-and-1 with 3:32 left in the 4th qtr. to thwart a Jets drive that would have tied the game
- Snagged an INT off Brett Favre at GB (9/9), which led to an Eagles FG
