|
A versatile veteran linebacker and a key contributor on special teams throughout his six-year career with Indianapolis Colts (2006-07) and Tennessee (2002-05), Rocky Boiman signed a one-year contract with the Eagles on 3/24/08. Boiman, who won a Super Bowl with the Colts following the 2006 season, Boiman was a fourth round draft choice of the Titans in 2002 and set a club record with 28 special teams tackles as a rookie.
CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:
- Earned AFC Defensive POW honors for his performance at Pit. (9/28/03). Recorded an INT off Steelers QB Tommy Maddox and returned it 60 yds. for a TD, and sacked Maddox in the end zone for a safety
- Posted a club record 28 special teams tackles as a rookie with the Titans in 2002
- Blocked a punt at Hou. (12/29/02)
2007 HIGHLIGHTS:
- Played in all 16 games (7 starts) for the Colts and recorded a career high in tackles (64), while posting 2 INTs. Also ranked 2nd on the team with 15 special teams tackles
- Recovered a fumble vs. Ten. (12/30) that led to a Colts TD
- Intercepted Falcons QB Joey Harrington and returned it 26 yds. at Atl. (11/22)
- Picked off Texans QB Matt Schaub at Hou. (9/23). The turnover led to a Colts TD.
