Capped off a four-year career at Washington State with career highs in receptions (52), yards (512), and TDs (3) as a senior tight end. For his career, totaled 80 catches for 899 yards and 6 TDs, while scoring twice on the ground. Originally recruited as a linebacker to WSU, played his first two seasons as a fullback and linebacker before switching to tight end prior to his junior year.
PERSONAL:
- As a linebacker, earned Division II co-defensive player of the year honors at Mission Viejo (CA) HS, where his team won two Division II state titles and 41 straight games, until losing in the championship game of his senior season. Also played TE and FB in high school.
- Did not play football until his freshman year in high school.
- His father, Michael, and brother, Jake, played basketball at Seattle University, while his brother, Lenny, played basketball at Cornell. Michael is a partner in his own law firm, Collins & Bellinghi. His mother, Kathy, is an office administrator at Tesero HS. His older sister, Emily, competed in the Special Olympics in California for the first time in 2008. She won a gold medal in the 100-meter dash and currently works in daycare at a local gym.
- A big fan of music, enjoys punk rock and alternative, and lists A.F.I., My Chemical Romance and Senses Fail as his favorite groups.
- Developed a love for reading from his father who always suggests great books to him. His family never had a TV in the house until he went to high school.
