Now entering his third NFL season, Hank Baskett is a valuable option at receiver with his size and athletic ability. Also an integral part of the special teams units, Baskett was voted as the Eagles special teams MVP in 2007 after leading the squad with 277 production points. Originally acquired in a 2006 offseason trade from Minnesota for WR Billy McMullen, Baskett went on to average 21.1 yards per catch in his rookie campaign and hauled in a pair of 85-yard-plus receptions, a feat that only one other player in NFL history had accomplished during his rookie season.
CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:
- In 2006, became the 2nd rookie in NFL history to post 2 TD receptions of 85 yds-or-more (89 vs. Atl. 12/31/06 & 87 vs. Dal. 10/8/06) in a single season, since Green Bay's Billy Howton did so in 1952. Those two TDs were the two-longest by an undrafted rookie WR in NFL history, as he became the first Eagle ever to catch two TDs of 80-yds-or-more in the same season
- Twice earned Diet Pepsi NFL ROW honors in 2006 (vs. Atl., 12/31/06 & vs. Dal, 10/8/06)
2007 HIGHLIGHTS:
- Led the team in special teams production points (277) and was voted the special teams MVP by his teammates
- Recovered an onsides kick at NE (11/25). It was the first time the team recovered an onsides kick since 10/17/04 vs. Car.
- Caught a 10-yd. TD pass from QB Donovan McNabb vs. Dal. (11/4)
2006 HIGHLIGHTS:
- Among NFL WRs with at least 20 receptions, ranked 2nd with 21.1 yards per catch behind the Saints Devery Henderson (23.3)
- Ranked 4th among NFL rookie WRs in recepts. (22) and yds. (464), while hauling in 2 TDs
- Earned Diet Pepsi NFL ROW honors for the 2nd time in 2006 for his performance vs. Atl. (12/31/06). Set career highs in recepts. (7) and yds. (177) and hauled in a career long 89-yd. TD pass from A.J. Feeley for the longest pass play in the NFL in 2006. His yardage total was the most in a game by an Eagle since Fred Barnett's 187 yds. vs. Hou. (10/24/94), and the most by an Eagles rookie since Don Looney caught 14 passes for 180 yds. at Was. (12/1/40). It was also the most in a game by an undrafted rookie WR since the Cowboys James Dixon posted 203 receiving yds. at Pho. (11/12/89).
- Earned Diet Pepsi NFL ROW honors for his effort vs. Dal. (10/8/06). Filled in for an injured Donté Stallworth and caught 3 passes for 112 yds., including an 87-yd. bomb from Donovan McNabb for the first TD of his career. It was also the first 100-yd. receiving game of his career

BIRDSEED:
- Taught an 8-week online course called "Sociology of Sport" at Clovis Community College in New Mexico in the 2008 offseason. The course covered a wide range of topics on the culture of sports and its effect on society, including sports and business, sports and violence, the role of parents, and the role of the African-Amercian athlete
- Hosted the 2nd annual "Hank Baskett Tee'd Off About Child Abuse" golf tournament and first annual "Jocks at the Rock" basketball game, both of which benefit the Oasis Children's Advocacy Center in Clovis, NM. Baskett is an avid supporter of that center, at which his father has worked for years. Many Eagles teammates came out to support Baskett's endeavors, including Donovan McNabb and Jon Dorenbos, among others. Said Baskett of the event, "It's doubled in money each of the past three years, and we came very close again this year. It was a blast!"
- Takes inspiration from his high school track coach, Mike Hankins, who offered this advice after the despondent Baskett went undrafted in 2006: "We have a 24-hour rule at our house," Hankins told Baskett. "You can feel down and gripe about something for 24 hours, but after that you put it behind you and you go to the task at hand and take care of your business." After the 21st hour, Baskett went on a two-mile run and put it behind him
- Holding the New Mexico high school record with a 7'-0" high jump, Baskett captured the Mountain West conference championship as a junior at New Mexico. It's a skill that he continues to apply on the football field. "High jumping taught me body control. Especially in those jump ball situations."
- Baskett is proud to hail from Clovis, a New Mexico town of 32,000 people and the the home to Cannon Air Force Base, which houses F-16 fighter jets and one of the largest cheese factories in the world
