"If you've ever seen a child put on glasses for the first time and be able to see the definition of a leaf or words on the blackboard or read a label, you'd know how good it feels for me to give back in this way."

- Jermane Mayberry, Former Eagles OL
who has given more than $125,000 to the Eagles Eye Mobile Program.

Eagles Eye Mobile

Stanford Social Innovation Review features Eagles Eye Mobile.

The Eagles Eye Mobile provides free comprehensive eye exams and prescription glasses for thousands of underserved children in the community. Since the inception of the Eagles Eye Mobile in 1996, Eagles Youth Partnership has examined the eyes of more than 20,000 children in the school districts of Philadelphia and Chester-Upland. A large majority of the students examined needed and received free prescription eyeglasses and many others underwent vision-saving surgery. During the 2003-2004 school year, the Eagles Eye Mobile program began operating year 'round, significantly expanding the number of children examined per year. Eagles Youth Partnership purchased a second vehicle in 2003 so that the Eagles Eye Mobile and Eagles Book Mobile programs could operate simultaneously.
