Why: To raise funds in support of the year-round programs of EYP

Overview:
In an effort to make a more affordable and enjoyable event for Eagles fans, the Inaugural Eagles Flight Night! replaces the 14-year old Annual Eagles Carnival & Auction as the major, one-day fundraising event for Eagles Youth Partnership, the charitable wing of the Philadelphia Eagles football organization. Fans will pay one low entry fee and enjoy an exciting evening of Eagles football in a game-night setting.
The event itself will begin with 'a celebration of all things Eagles', including the Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders, Eagles mascot SWOOP, Alumni Player appearances and much more, followed by the main event, a 90-minute full team/full pads hitting practice session – the first chance for fans to see the entire 2009 Philadelphia Eagles squad in action at Lincoln Financial Field. The evening will conclude with the largest fireworks show in Lincoln Financial Field since its opening!

Q: Why is Eagles Flight Night! replacing the annual Eagles Carnival?
A: In addition to being a much more affordable event for Eagles fans to attend, Eagles Flight Night! will allow all fans in attendance to see the entire team and comfortably have a game-night experience that is welcoming to all fans of all ages.
While fans loved the Eagles Carnival & Auction, they also consistently told us that it was expensive and that the lines were too long. When you have 10,000 fans and 35-40 players available at a time, there's no way to give access to everyone who wants it. This new event is much more affordable and let's everyone see and hear from Donovan McNabb and other favorite players on the team.

Q: What can I expect from Eagles Flight Night!?
A: The Lincoln Financial Field Headhouse Plaza will open at 5:00pm on Sunday August 2nd, with games, concessions and activities, similar to an Eagles game night. The show will begin at 7:00pm, with a 30-minute 'celebration of all things Eagles', followed by a 90-minute full team/full pads practice, and finally a 15-minute fireworks show.

Q: Are there any additional expenses other than the entry ticket fee?
A: While guests may of course opt to purchase food and/or souvenirs, the entry ticket will give you access to the entire Eagles Flight Night! presentation.
Q: Will there be autograph opportunities at Eagles Flight Night!?
A: Eagles Flight Night! will not feature personal autograph sessions, but will instead be a show which can be enjoyed by all attendees without the additional cost and lines of autograph sessions. Some merchandise pre-autographed by Eagles players will be available for purchase.
Q: What is 'Off Our Backs'?
A: The 'Off Our Backs' giveaway is a chance for guests attending Eagles Flight Night! to randomly win authentic signed players jerseys. During the event, seats will be called out - those winners will be invited to report to the field at the end of the practice, at which time Eagles players will remove their jersey, sign it and hand it over to the guest!
Q: Is this a kid-friendly event?
A: Yes, Eagles Flight Night! has been designed for Eagles fans of all ages.

Q: What is the ticket price for Eagles Flight Night!? A: Tickets start at $10/kids (12 and under) and $20/adults. A: Only if it is determined that the weather is dangerous will the event be postponed until the following night, Monday, August 3rd.

Q: Where does the money raised by Eagles Flight Night! go?
A: Eagles Flight Night! is the primary fundraiser for Eagles Youth Partnership, which assists more than 50,000 children each year throughout the Philadelphia Region through programs such as the Eagles Eye Mobile, Eagles Book Mobile, Annual Eagles Playground Build, and much more.
The funds raised through Eagles Flight Night! will benefit Eagles Youth Partnership's (EYP) year-round activities. For the price of a $10 children's ticket to Eagles Flight Night!, the Eagles Book Mobile program can provide new books to four children. For the price of an adult ticket on the 50-yard line, the Eagles Eye Mobile program can provide a pair of prescription eyeglasses for a child that desperately needs them.
