Eagles Youth Partnership has been recognized for employing best practices to build effective community partnerships by the Office of Accountability, Assessment and Intervention at the School District of Philadelphia.
EYP received this award as an exemplary community partner with the school district through the Eagles Eye Mobile program, and was recognized at an event held May 15, 2008.
Since 1996, Eagles Youth Partnership has worked with the School District of Philadelphia to serve Philadelphia's children through programs such as the Eagles Eye Mobile, which makes comprehensive vision care accessible to children that would otherwise not receive such care; the Eagles Book Mobile, which travels to schools, libraries and recreation centers to distribute new books to children; and the Eagles Playground Build, which revitalizes neighborhoods by making schools safe places in which children can learn and play.
