The Philadelphia Eagles today announced they have signed wide receiver Jeremy Ebert to the practice squad and released center
A seventh-round draft choice of the New England Patriots in 2012 out of Northwestern, Ebert, 6-0, 195, earned second-team All-Big Ten honors as a senior after posting career highs in receptions (76), yards (1060) and touchdowns (11). He became just the third player in school history to tally over 1,000 yards in a single season. Ebert played in 52 career games (35 starts) for the Wildcats, amassing 173 receptions for 2,400 yards and 21 touchdowns. The Hilliard, OH, native was an All-Midwest selection as a quarterback at Hilliard Darby High School.
The Eagles now have three wide receivers on the practice squad, as Ebert joins fellow 2012 draft picks
