"I don't think it'll take long. One snap," Vick said. "I've been through it before."
Vick was just 4-of-7 for 11 yards in his two brief preseason appearances. He was injured in both games. Vick left the Steelers preseason opener with a thumb injury and bruised his ribs in the Patriots game. From a health standpoint, Vick will be fine for the Browns game.
It should be noted that Vick has not been stellar in his previous two preseason campaigns. Last year, Vick was 19-of-36 for 219 yards with one touchdown against three interceptions. In 2010, Vick was 16-of-28 for 189 yards with no touchdowns and three interceptions. If you recall, Vick went on to win the starting job, earn Pro Bowl honors and be named the NFL Comeback Player of the Year that season.
Proud of his squad for going undefeated in the preseason, Vick is now ready to play the games that count in the standings.
"I'm ready. I'm very excited. Guys did great in the preseason; they did an awesome job. I'm proud of them; extremely proud of them. That's the way you go out and play football," Vick said. "Now, it's time to move on to the regular season."
