The Story Of My Jersey Number: Lane Johnson

Posted Feb 2, 2018

What’s in a number?

Well, funny you ask. For many in the Eagles' locker room, their jersey numbers become part of their everyday lives, it becomes their identities. For others? It’s just the way it worked out.

Here's Lane Johnson:

“I’ve tried to make 65 my own and create my own legacy with the number. I really didn’t have a choice. I got picked in the draft and then I got here and 65 was in my locker, so I wasn’t about to argue. I am No. 65 all the way now. When I was in high school I wanted to be Vince Young, who played at Texas and was so great, so I wore No. 10. But 65, you know, it’s me now. I want to be the best 65 in the history of the Eagles.”
