Stadium Revitalization: Three Days Away

Posted Aug 18, 2014

Hey, Eagles fans. Yes, it is Monday, but this week is going to fly by because the first home preseason game is on Thursday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers. It is not only the "dress rehearsal" for the regular season opener against the Jaguars, but it is also the first chance for Eagles fans to witness the improvements made over the past two years through the Stadium Revitalization Project. Each day leading up to kickoff, we'll feature a different aspect of the project and today we look at the corner infills ...

Approximately 1,600 total seats were added throughout the stadium, including in the lower bowl, mid level and upper level.

The major changes to the seating bowl include new seating sections in the Northeast and Southwest corners of the stadium that will also connect the upper concourse.

“For the first time since we opened Lincoln Financial Field in 2003, we had an opportunity to add seats,” said President Don Smolenski. “We’re excited to be able to add new fans to the Eagles family.”
