The Eagles signed five players to the practice squad Monday, including four who spent the 2013 preseason with the team. Running back Matthew Tucker, tackle Michael Bamiro, linebacker Travis Long and wide receiver Greg Salas all return to the team after impressing throughout the summer. The newcomer is safety Trenton Robinson, who spent the last two seasons with the San Francisco 49ers after he was selected in the sixth round of the 2012 NFL Draft out of Michigan State.
At 5-foot-9, 193 pounds, the 23-year-old Robinson can play both safety and cornerback and joins a deep secondary that includes 11 players on the active roster after the addition of
A two-time All-Big Ten honoree at Michigan State, Robinson ranks tied for 12th in school history with nine career interceptions in 46 games, inclduing 32 starts at safety.
