The Eagles re-signed safety Harold Jones-Quartey to the practice squad on Tuesday. He was originally signed to the 10-man unit on November 14, but suffered an ankle injury before being placed on Injured Reserve. He was later released with an injury settlement.
Now healthy, Jones-Quartey is back and provides quality NFL experience having played 29 games (16 starts) from 2015-16 for the Chicago Bears. He originally entered the league as a rookie free agent signing of the Arizona Cardinals.
The 5-11, 210-pound defensive back played his college football at Findlay where he amassed 241 tackles, nine tackles for loss, and four interceptions. He was a wide receiver early in his college career and caught 23 passes for 294 yards and a touchdown.
To make room for Jones-Quartey, the Eagles released defensive tackle Winston Craig.
