Reports: Eagles Visiting Top Prospects

With the draft approaching, the Eagles are continuing their due diligence by reportedly meeting with several of the draft’s best prospects.

According to John Wolfe of the Daily Princetonian, the Eagles attended Princeton’s pro day last week, and afterwards met with defensive end Mike Catapano, treating him to "breakfast at PJ’s Pancake House to discuss his future."

A consensus All-Ivy League player last season, Catapano finished the season with 41 tackles, including 15.5 for a loss, and 12 sacks.

Staying on the defensive side of the ball, the Eagles have scheduled a private workout with Fresno State safety Phillip Thomas, according to Rudy Rendon of

Last season, Thomas was a consensus All-American, notching 84 total tackles, including an impressive 12 for a loss, eight interceptions (three of which he returned for touchdowns), and four forced fumbles.

The Eagles also reportedly met with Syracuse tackle Justin Pugh, according to Jared Tokarz of NFL Draft Insider. Pugh said at his pro day that he had one-on-one workouts with five teams, including the Eagles.
