Report: Eagles To Meet With QB Scott

Posted Mar 7, 2013

According to Daniel Berk of the Arizona Daily Star, the Eagles are showing interest in Arizona quarterback Matt Scott.

The University of Arizona held its pro day Thursday, and though the Eagles' scouts weren’t in attendance, Berk reported that head coach Chip Kelly and his staff will meet with Scott Monday. The Eagles will be the first team to meet with the quarterback. Berk also reported that Scott will work out for the Eagles later this month.

According to Scott, the Eagles are one of several teams who are showing interest. The others include the Chargers, Cardinals and Bills.

Scott became the full-time starter at Arizona after incumbent Nick Foles departed for the NFL. In 2012, Scott completed 301 of his 499 passes for 3,620 yards, 27 touchdowns and 14 interceptions.
