Report: Eagles To Bring In WRs Evans, Latimer

Posted Apr 3, 2014

According to reports, the Eagles have scheduled at least two wide receiver visits to the NovaCare Complex prior to May's NFL Draft.

NFL.com's Chase Goodbread reported in early March that the Eagles would be one of the teams welcoming in Texas A&M receiver Mike Evans.

Standing at 6-foot-5, 231 and running a 4.53 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine, Evans is projected to be one of the first receivers to come off of the board in the first round of the draft. In two seasons with the Aggies, Evans finished just one receiving yard shy of 2,500. The report also states that at least 15 teams are interested in meeting with the tall, physical wideout.

Meanwhile, Zach Osterman of the Indianapolis Star has reported that the Eagles are also scheduled to meet with Indiana's Cody Latimer.

In three seasons with the Hoosiers, the 6-foot-2, 215 pound receiver hauled in 135 catches for 2,042 yards and 17 touchdowns. He has been projected as a possible third-round pick, but his 4.38 40-yard dash time at Indiana's pro day, just a few months removed from foot surgery, has impressed NFL scouts, according to the report.
