Head coach Andy Reid said on Wednesday that linebacker Akeem Jordan will remain the starter on the weak side and Demetress Bell is the starter at left tackle.

Jordan has missed the past two games with a hamstring injury that he initially suffered late in the loss to Arizona. Jamar Chaney took his place in the past two games. Reid said that Jordan will practice on Wednesday and it "looks like he's ready to go" for this Sunday's battle with the Lions.

While his presence has been missed on defense, Jordan's absence has loomed large over the special teams unit. He is sixth on the team this season with four special teams tackles. He was tied for the team lead in special teams tackles and fourth in special teams production points at the time of his injury.

Bell's ascension to the starting lineup came due to King Dunlap's hamstring injury, which occurred in the home opener against Baltimore. Bell has started the past three contests and the line is starting to jell with him and new center Dallas Reynolds in the starting lineup. Dunlap returned to action against the Steelers last Sunday, but played all six of his snaps on special teams.

Jordan remained at the top of the team's official depth chart the past few weeks despite the injury. Dunlap is the player at the top of the depth chart at left tackle, even though Reid gave Bell the vote of confidence Wednesday.
