For the 10-year veteran, this is the first time that he has won the award. Against the Redskins, Jones set an Eagles franchise record with a 50.7 net yard average. Jones was clutch throughout the afternoon, as four of his six punts were downed inside the 20-yard line.

Jones becomes the second punter in Eagles history to win NFC Special Teams Player of the Week. Sean Landeta took home the award in 2001.
