Player Of The Week Honors For Foles

For the first time in his NFL career, Nick Foles has been named NFC Offensive Player of the Week. The honor comes after a tremendous performance from the second-year quarterback in the Eagles 31-20 win over Tampa Bay. In his second career win against the Buccaneers, Foles completed 22 of his 31 passes for 296 yards and three touchdowns without throwing an interception. The University of Arizona product also added another touchdown on the ground.

Foles became just the eighth quarterback in NFL history with a competition percentage above 70 while throwing for at least 295 yards, with three or more passing touchdowns, no interceptions, and a rushing touchdown all in same game. DeSean Jackson won NFC Offensive Player of the Week for his big game against the Giants, giving the Eagles the award in back-to-back weeks. The last time that happened was in December of 2010, when Jackson and Michael Vick took home the hardware two weeks in a row.

Foles is also a nominee for the FedEx Air Player of the Week, along with Andy Dalton (the AFC Offensive Player of the Week) and Cam Newton. You can vote for Foles here.
