Vick is closer to returning than McCoy. Vick was with the team in meetings on Wednesday and also on the sidelines to watch the team walkthrough. McCoy still is suffering from headaches. Reid did not rule out either player for the Monday night game against Carolina as the team is taking is day by day with both players.

"If he plays this week, it'll give him another opportunity to get better then we go from there," Reid said of Foles. "The important thing with Michael is that he's healthy. I think number one, you don't want to put him at risk. You want to make sure you're listening to the doctors, the trainers. Michael is listening to them. I'm listening to them. We're smart with that. That's what I look at right now."

Reid understands the challenge that winning with a rookie quarterback and running back would present.
"(Vick and McCoy) are great players, but the guys who are stepping in I've got confidence that they can do the job," Reid said. "It's an opportunity for them. You don't look back. You go forward. That's what you do. If those guys, if they don't play, then next guy steps in and let's roll. Let's go."
