Mock Draft Tracker

Posted Mar 31, 2013

Uncertainty has been one of the constants of the Mock Draft Tracker, and this week is no exception. This week, Central Michigan tackle Eric Fisher and Oregon linebacker/defensive end Dion Jordan share top billing, as each player received five selections.

Alabama cornerback Dee Milliner was next with four votes, followed by Utah defensive tackle Star Lotulelei. Oklahoma tackle Lane Johnson, Texas A&M tackle Luke Joeckel, West Virginia quarterback Geno Smith and Alabama guard Chance Warmack rounded out the field, receiving two selections each.

Site Selection Last Updated
ESPN (Mel Kiper, Jr.) Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama
March 11
Comment: "Nnamdi Asomugha won't be wearing an Eagles uniform in 2013, and in a division with Eli Manning, Tony Romo and Robert Griffin III, the Eagles can't simply attempt to piece together the secondary. They need talent, and Milliner offers the best cornerback talent in the draft. Not a tough pick."
ESPN (Todd McShay) Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan
March 29
Comment: "The Eagles have addressed a lot of other needs already this offseason, especially in terms of finding good fits along the front seven in their new 3-4 scheme. Many personnel evaluators in the NFL think Fisher is just as good as -- if not slightly better than -- Joeckel, and Philadelphia would get one of the premier players in this class. Both Jason Peters and Todd Herremans return from injury this season, but there is no guarantee they will remain healthy, and Fisher's movement skills make him a good fit in the up-tempo scheme new head coach Chip Kelly will install."
SI.com (Don Banks) Dion Jordan, DE/LB, Oregon
March 27
Comment: "The Michael Vick re-signing fairly well convinced me that Chip Kelly is going to make do with what's already on hand in Philly this year on the quarterback front. But getting a better foundation built in front of an Eagles quarterback is the most pressing issue Kelly faces. Warmack is the best guard prospect to hit the NFL in many years, but Philadelphia could easily turn in the card for Central Michigan offensive tackle Eric Fisher as well."
FOX Sports (Peter Schrager) Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama
March 26
Comment: "Nnamdi Asomugha and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie will both be playing elsewhere in 2013 and it appears as though Bradley Fletcher and Cary Williams could be the new starting cornerbacks in Philadelphia. Dion Jordan, a young man who played for Chip Kelly at Oregon, could be the guy at No. 4. Jordan is most favorably compared to Aldon Smith, the electric outside linebacker in San Francisco."
NFL.com (Bucky Brooks) Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan
March 15
Comment: "Perennial Pro Bowl OT Jason Peters is scheduled to return from injury, but that won't prevent the Eagles from adding an athletic edge blocker with tremendous potential."
NFL.com (Daniel Jeremiah) Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah
March 20
Comment: "The Eagles have focused on getting bigger on the defensive side of the ball. The trio of Isaac Sopoaga, Fletcher Cox and Lotulelei would be tough to run against."
NFL.com (Charles Davis) Lane Johnson, OT, Oklahoma
March 5
Comment: "Johnson's athleticism wowed at the Combine. He's an excellent fit in Philly, with the expected tempo change on offense under Chip Kelly."
NFL.com (Gil Brandt) Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan
March 27
Comment: "Fisher (6-7 1/4, 306) ran real well and was strong; in short, he looked to be every bit what I thought he was. He'll be one of those guys who starts at left tackle for a long time. The Eagles could use the offensive line help."
NFL.com (Albert Breer) Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama

NFL.com (Josh Norris) Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama
March 13
Comment: "After releasing Nnamdi Asomugha, the Eagles signed Bradley Fletcher, who is solid when healthy. Still, the team needs another outside cover man. (Brandon Boykin is solid, but in a slot corner role.)"
CBSSports.com (Dane Brugler) Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M
March 25
Comment: "Just like other positions on the Eagles depth chart, offensive tackle looked to be a strength, but injuries have really taken a toll on this team. Although Jason Peters injury situation will be a factor in Philadelphia choosing a tackle, Joeckel has the chance to grow into one of the NFL's best."
CBSSports.com (Rob Rang) Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia
March 25
Comment: "Michael Vick has proven unreliable. Nick Foles, despite what the Eagles are saying publicly, is clearly not a fit in head coach Chip Kelly's offense. Thus, this seems to be the logical spot for Smith, the most gifted talent of an average quarterback class. The Eagles are certainly doing their homework on the strong-armed quarterback. Team owner Jeffrey Lurie, general manager Howie Roseman and head coach Chip Kelly traveled to Morgantown to put the former Mountaineer quarterback through a personal workout three days before WVU's scheduled Pro Day."
CBSSports.com (Pete Prisco) Dion Jordan, DE/OLB, Oregon
March 25
Comment: "Even after signing Connor Barwin, you can never have enough pass rushers."
OptimumScouting.com (Eric Galko) Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan
March 11
Comment: "With Jason Peters likely to return at 100% next year, tackle isn’t a huge need. However, the Eagles offensive line needs to get better and Fisher can play RT and at OG. Don’t rule out Star Lotulelei or Dee Milliner here."
NationalFootballPost.com (Russ Lande) Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah
March 27
Comment: "As the Eagles make the switch to a 34 defense they need to fill a number of positional needs and none is more important than a nose tackle. With his ability to physically dominate blockers at the POA, now that he appears to have overcome medical questions he would be an ideal choice to anchor the middle of the Eagles' defensive front."
USA Today (Tony Pauline) Dion Jordan, DE/OLB, Oregon
February 27
Comment: "Jordan is a natural fit for the 3-4 defense and a good fit for Chip Kelly, his former college coach."
NFL.com (Scott Pioli) Chance Warmack, G, Alabama
February 22
Comment: "The Eagles need help on their offensive line. Warmack is the best player in this draft at this point in time."
NFL.com (Mike Tannenbaum) Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah
February 23
Comment: "A two-time team captain at Utah, Lotulelei is a great complement to the finesse players of Philadelphia as a big, strong, stout guy."
NFL.com (Brian Billick) Chance Warmack, G, Alabama
February 25
Comment: "Quite possibly the cleanest player on the board. Landing Warmack and getting a couple of healthy players back could make this a good offensive line."
NFL.com (Charlie Casserly) Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan
March 25
Comment: "Both of Philly's offensive tackles (Jason Peters and Todd Herremans) were hurt last season."
CBSSports.com (Will Brinson) Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M March 12
Comment: "Philly did a fantastic job filling some defensive holes during free agency, landing Bradley Fletcher and Cary Williams to fill the void of Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and Nnamdi Asomugha. Kenny Phillips and Patrick Chung will help beef up the secondary too. Joeckel gives them a foundation on the line for the future."
Yahoo! Sports (Doug Farrar) Lane Johnson, OT, Oklahoma
February 27
Comment: "Johnson's stock has been rising since a dominant Senior Bowl, and his combine tests proved what he already knew -- he's a very mobile lineman with freakish athletic tendencies. New head coach Chip Kelly may adapt some of his Oregon offensive principles for the NFL, but don't expect him to stray from the idea of a multiple zone-blocking system that provides optimal flexibility. Perhaps more than any other lineman in this class, Johnson has the pure athleticism to bring it in Kelly's schemes."
CBSSports.com (Pat Kirwan) Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia
March 25
Comment: "It will be hard to pass on a QB with the skills and production to run Chip Kelly's offense. Owner Jeff Lurie was at his pro day, and that rarely happens."
Iggles Blitz (Tommy Lawlor) Dion Jordan, DE/OLB, Oregon
March 6
Comment: "This isn't a matter of linking Chip Kelly with one of his former players. Jordan is a very gifted prospect that all 32 teams will have interest in. He had a terrific showing at the Combine. He looked like the most natural pass rusher there. Put on the game tape and Jordan stands out there. He can fly off the edge."
NFL.com (Matt Smith) Dion Jordan, DE/OLB, Oregon
March 18
Comment: "Prior to last year's draft, we tried to pair up Coby Fleener with Jim Harbaugh, his college coach at Stanford. This year, we're talking about Ryan Nassib rejoining Doug Marrone in Buffalo and Jordan following Chip Kelly to Philly. In this particular case, it makes sense. Jordan is an athletic freak who has proven capable of keeping up with the pace at which Kelly asks his players to perform."
