Michael Vick Limited On Wednesday

Posted Oct 16, 2013

Before the Eagles hit the NovaCare Complex practice fields on Wednesday morning, Chip Kelly addressed the injury status for some of the key members of the Eagles roster.

All eyes remain focused on Michael Vick, who continues to work through his hamstring pull that he suffered against the Giants. According to Kelly, Vick remains limited in what he can do in practice.

“Mike took some seven-on-seven snaps yesterday, but we’ll see how he is today,” Kelly said. “They lifted yesterday and they don’t lift today so once we get through the first couple periods here of running around, we’ll see how he feels.”

The Eagles released their first official injury report of the week on Wednesday and Vick was limited.

Though Vick’s injury has been in the spotlight for the past few weeks, left tackle Jason Peters has also been dealing with a shoulder problem since the Tampa Bay game. Peters did not participate in Wednesday's workout.

Also dealing with a shoulder injury is safety Patrick Chung, who attempted to return to the Eagles lineup against the Buccaneers but was forced to leave the game after feeling more discomfort. Chung, like Vick, was limited.

“Pat will be limited,” Kelly explained. “He ran around a little bit (Tuesday). It really just depends on how he can handle his shoulder and what he can do from a function standpoint.”

On Monday, Kelly said that running back Chris Polk was also dealing with a shoulder issue as well and he did not participate in practice. Punter Donnie Jones (left foot) was limited in practice. Tight end James Case, who missed last Sunday's game with a groin injury, was a full participant.
