Kelly: Fletcher Suffered Concussion

Posted Sep 10, 2013

At a press conference on Tuesday afternoon, Eagles head coach Chip Kelly announced that Bradley Fletcher will not be able to practice because of a concussion that the cornerback sustained during the Eagles 33-27 victory over Washington.

Kelly said that he is not sure exactly when the injury occurred during the game. Fletcher will have to clear all concussion tests before being able to get back out on the field. Brandon Boykin, who has the ability to play inside and outside, should see time as the outside cornerback until Fletcher returns.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Eagles re-signed cornerback Brandon Hughes who was released by the team on Saturday. Hughes suffered a broken hand earlier in the preseason, but Kelly said he should be ready for the team's practice on Wednesday.
