The Eagles would love to have
"It's day-to-day, but it's no big deal," Peters said after the open practice at Lincoln Financial Field. "I'm going to be ready for the season opener Monday night (September 9) against Washington."
Peters has not played in a game since the end of the 2011 season. He missed all of last season with an Achilles injury. Peters said that if this was a game week he would be "strapped up and ready to roll," but he has to take precautionary measures.
"I just have to be smart about it," he said. "I want to be out there, but you have to be smart about it for the preseason."
The Eagles have been bit by the injury bug at the tackle position as
"It's hard for them. I know it's hard for me," Peters said of the tackles missing in action.
