Andy Reid's list of injuries for the Eagles was headlined by Jon Dorenbos Monday, as Reid disclosed the long snapper has a high ankle sprain. Reid said the team will evaluate Dorenbos' condition throughout the week while deciding whether another long snapper needs to be imported before Sunday night's game against the New York Giants.

Meanwhile, there was good news for wide receiver Jeremy Maclin, who missed the Eagles' loss to the Arizona Cardinals with a rib contusion. Reid said that he's anticipating Maclin will be available to play this week.

Elsewhere on the injury front, linebacker Akeem Jordan has a hamstring strain, defensive tackle Fletcher Cox had migraines during the game, wide receiver Riley Cooper has an appointment today to reevaluate the condition of his collarbone and left tackle King Dunlap is "getting better" with a hamstring strain, though he's not yet ready to practice.

If Dunlap is unable to play this week, Reid said that Demetress Bell will remain the left tackle.

Sticking on the offensive line, Reid said Dallas Reynolds will remain the center after a promising debut as a starter.

"I thought after probably the first two series he settled down," Reid said of Reynolds. "I thought he was anxious the first couple series and then he settled down. I thought he played a pretty good game after that."

As for his reaction to the team's 27-6 loss, Reid was peppered with questions once again about turnovers and the protection for Michael Vick.

"He's getting hit way too much," Reid said. "That's what I can tell you. At this point, it's way too much. So that part's got to end. We've got to limit that.

"Everybody's got a little piece of this. To say that there's a play here or there where (Vick) might hold the ball too long, I can't tell you no on that. And he's be the first to tell you. But that's not the case every time he throws or gets hit. That's not the case."

All-pro running back LeSean McCoy had 13 carries against the Cardinals, including only four in the first half. Reid explained the thinking behind going pass-heavy early in Arizona.

"We thought we had some opportunities down the field," said Reid. "In the throwing game, we went in thinking we would protect a little better than we did and thinking we would be able to exploit some of the things that we felt were our strengths. It didn't happen."

Finally, Reid was asked whether he has thought about inserting rookie Nick Foles at quarterback.

"Right now we're with Michael and that's what we're doing," Reid said. "We'll evaluate as we go."
