Here are some news and notes following Sunday's game against the Giants ...

Point Taken ... The Eagles defense has now held its opponents to 21 points or less in each of the last four games. The only other team to do so during that span is Kansas City. Green Bay has done so the last three weeks and plays later tonight at Minnesota.

This year, the Eagles have held NFC East QBs to a combined 70.4 quarterback rating, completing just 107 of 187 passes (57.2%), while throwing for 1,226 yards, five touchdowns and seven interceptions ... The Eagles defense has also limited NFC East teams to 289 rush yards on 92 attempts for an average of just 3.1 yards per carry and 72.3 yards per game.

Defensive Turnaround ... The Eagles defense has vastly improved over the last four games, holding opponents to just 18.3 points and 356.8 yards per game, compared to 27.5 and 446.8 over the first four games.

P Donnie Jones’ 45.3-yard gross punting average ranks as the third-best single-season average in Eagles history. His 39.4-yard net average ranks as the best in team history since the stat was tracked in 1976.
