Head coach Andy Reid met the media after morning walk thrus Sunday and provided updates on the health of wide receiver 
Cooper fractured his collarbone during practice Sunday and will have surgery Monday. Reid said he expects Cooper to miss around six weeks, but believes his receiver will be “close” to returning for the team’s regular season opener against Cleveland on September 9.
Babin is expected to miss a week with a calf strain. The defensive end swallowed a pill with a thermometer in it which is designed to measure body heat, and cannot yet undergo an MRI.
The head coach also said tight end Brent Celek and defensive tackle Antonio Dixon are “doing well,” but did not provide a date for when either player will return.
In the wake of Cooper’s injury, Reid said he has no plans to sign any additional receivers.
“I’m going to just leave it the way it is,” Reid said. “We’re going to leave it and let the young guys get some work in and see what they can do.”

“He had a good day yesterday,” Reid said. “He’s a big, physical kid. And you saw him attack the football, and make some big plays.”
