Eagles Sport Their Ugly Sweaters

Posted Jul 18, 2014

Eagles fans, have you gotten into the holiday spirit yet? The Eagles Pro Shop is here to help get you ready for Christmas in July with some fantastic Eagles Ugly Sweaters. You’ll be the star of all of your holiday parties while rocking some Eagles midnight green.

The Eagles Ugly Sweaters, in all of their beauty and majesty, are available online now thanks to a pre-sale, but did you know that they’ve actually already been worn by some members of the Eagles? Here are some photos to help remind you of the times when the Eagles donned their Ugly Sweaters …

1. Chip Kelly In The Snow Bowl

Visibility was incredibly low on that December afternoon in Philadelphia last season, so you may not have been able to see very well while watching the game. LeSean McCoy had the best rushing performance in Eagles history, racking up 217 yards on the ground, breaking an Eagles record that had stood since 1949. But what you may not have noticed during that game was that Coach Kelly found a way to stay warm on the sidelines with his Ugly Sweater.

2. Kendricks In The Snow Bowl

Kelly wasn’t the only one to sport the sweater during the Snow Bowl. Mychal Kendricks also sported one on the field against the Lions. He must have seen how warm Coach Kelly was on the sidelines and wanted to be just as snug out on the field. Kendricks had eight total tackles and one fumble recovery in the game, so he may go back to the sweater in the next cold weather game.

3. Perks Of Being Drafted

The NFL Draft process was surely an exciting time for Marcus Smith II. All of the hard work that he has put into football paid off when he was drafted by the Eagles in the first round back in May. Upon arriving in Philadelphia for his press conference, Smith was awarded with his brand new Eagles Ugly Sweater, and just look how happy it made him.

4. Bennie Logan's Photo Day

Bennie Logan loved the Eagles Ugly Sweater so much that he decided to wear it while getting his 2014 headshot taken. Logan keeps his face warm with his fantastic beard, but it looks like he wanted to extend that warm feeling onto his torso. It’s fair to say that it was the right choice.

5. Malcolm Jenkins At Minicamp

In the past couple of months, the Eagles have all traveled back to Philadelphia to participate in offseason workouts, OTAs and minicamp. Malcolm Jenkins, one of the newest Eagles, loves the Ugly Sweater so much that he just couldn’t help but wear it during training. Temperatures reached the 90s during a few minicamp days, but Jenkins just couldn’t help but sport the best new Eagles winter look.
