The Eagles made a roster move Monday, signing wide receiver
"When B.J. was here throughout the offseason and before he got hurt, we thought he was on the come," said general manager Howie Roseman on his weekly radio show on SportsRadio 610 WIP. "He's a big, physical receiver. One of the all-time leading receivers in the Big Ten who we really liked coming out of the draft and we thought he was a perfect fit for us. An intermediate receiver, physical, can block, can play special teams, and he looked really good in the offseason and then he got hurt. We brought him back in on Friday, had an opportunity to work him out. He actually, I thought, even looked quicker than when we had him during the summer. So we were excited about that today when we kind of had a chance to discuss our roster, looking for an extra receiver. No slight on Emil, but we just thought it was a good fit for what we were looking to do going forward. Getting that player there fits what we're trying to do offensively and we're excited to get him back"
Iwenagu had been inactive for all six games this season as the fourth tight end on the roster. He originally joined the Eagles as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2012.
