Eagles Interview Gruden, Whisenhunt

The Eagles continued their search for a head coach on Monday, interviewing former Arizona Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt and Bengals offensive coordinator Jay Gruden.

Whisenhunt, 50, was named the Cardinals’ head coach in 2007, compiling a 45-51 record. In 2008, his Cardinals won the NFC West for the first time since 1975 en route to an appearance in Super Bowl XLIII. An offensive guru, Whisenhunt joined the Cardinals after spending six years with the Steelers, including three years as offensive coordinator. Whisenhunt has also interviewed with the Bills, Browns and Chargers.

The Eagles also announced that they have interviewed Bengals offensive coordinator Jay Gruden for the team's head coaching vacancy. Gruden, 45, has overseen the development of second-year players Andy Dalton and A.J. Green, both of whom reached the Pro Bowl in their rookie years. Gruden interviewed for the Arizona Cardinals' head coaching job last Thursday.
