Following Sunday's afternoon practice, four members of the Eagles family expressed statements on behalf of the rest of the team in support of head coach Andy Reid and the rest of the Reid family in the wake of the passing of Garrett Reid.
Offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg: "All of our thoughts and prayers are with Andy and Tammy and the Reid family. It's certainly been a tough day. I can only imagine how tough it's been on that family. As you know, Andy is a rock. And he's given all of us – this football team, all the coaches, administration, equipment men, trainers – great support for many, many years, and it's just very simple, we're here to support him now. And it's just as simple as that."
Quarterback Mike Vick: "This is a very difficult situation for us all to deal with. Our thoughts and prayers and condolences go out to Coach Reid, Tammy and the entire family. Coach has always been very supportive of us - as a team, as an organization. He's been a rock for us and a big teddy bear for us. We're going to lean on him and we're going to be there for him and we're going to stay strong for him until he comes back to lead us on. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family. It's very difficult, but we'll find the strength and a way to get through this. We just have to lean on the higher power."
