The Eagles confirmed on Thursday morning that tight end
On his Twitter account, Casey said that it was a "minor scope" of his right knee and that he'll be "back to full speed in two weeks." That would indicate Casey will miss the remainder of the spring OTAs, but return in time for the start of Training Camp.
I had a minor scope done on my right knee. I'll be back to full speed in two weeks. Better to get it taken care of now. #GoEagles— James Casey (@jamescasey85) May 23, 2013
Casey was signed by the Eagles on the first day of free agency this offseason after four years with the Houston Texans. Casey was coming off his most productive NFL campaign, one in which he caught a career-high 34 passes for 330 yards and three touchdowns. Casey has 66 career receptions for 752 yards and four touchdowns in 61 games (20 starts). The Eagles signed Casey to be a chess piece as he has experience lining up as a fullback, H-back, in-line tight end or receiver.
