The Eagles announced the addition of quarterback ![]()
"We are excited to bring in Dennis Dixon to compete at the quarterback position," said Eagles general manager Howie Roseman. "Dennis is a veteran in this league that has been a part of two Super Bowl-winning teams in his career. He’s also very familiar with Chip Kelly and how he operates."
In the NFL, Dixon, 6-3, 209, has completed 59.3 percent of his passes for 402 yards, one touchdown, two interceptions and a quarterback rating of 71.4.
With Kelly at the helm of the Oregon offense, Dixon had a sterling senior season during which he led the Ducks to a No. 2 overall ranking and was considered a frontrunner for the Heisman Trophy before tearing his ACL in the 10th game of the season. Dixon finished that season completing 67.7 percent of his passes for 2,136 yards, 20 touchdowns and four interceptions, adding 583 rushing yards to boot.
With the Eagles, Dixon will compete for a roster spot at quarterback alongside veteran ![]()
